Terms of membership

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Ascholia LLC, a Florida limited liability company. By creating an account or paying for a membership you agree to them. Please also read our privacy notice.

1. The service

Ascholia is an AI career coach for finance professionals. It asks questions, helps you think through career decisions and, with your permission, shares general context about how parts of the finance job market work. It is software, not a person.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract. One account is for one person. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at info@ascholia.com if you think someone else has used it.

3. Membership and billing

  • Membership costs $49 a month or $500 a year in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. Prices shown at checkout apply.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe when you join. Your membership then renews automatically each month or year, and Stripe charges the card on file, until you cancel.
  • Promotional codes are entered at checkout. Unless the code says otherwise, each can be used once per customer, and after the discounted period the normal price applies.
  • We may change prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a change affects your renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
  • If a payment fails, you keep access for a short grace period while Stripe retries. If it still fails, your membership ends.

4. Cancelling

Cancel any time from your account page (Manage billing). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We don't give refunds for part of a billing period, except where the law requires. Cancelling your membership doesn't delete your account; you can delete it separately at any time.

5. Free-access codes

We sometimes give free access through codes. Free access lasts for the period stated with the code and can be withdrawn if a code is misused.

6. What coaching is, and what it isn't

  • The coach is an AI, not a certified coach, therapist, doctor, lawyer or financial adviser. It is not certified by, or affiliated with, the International Coaching Federation.
  • It does not give investment, securities, tax, legal or medical advice. For those, see a qualified professional.
  • It may get things wrong. Career and pay information it shares is general and may be out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it.
  • Your decisions are yours. We don't guarantee any job, promotion, pay rise or other outcome.
  • It is not an emergency service. If you or someone else may be at risk, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the US you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) at any time.

7. Using Ascholia properly

You agree not to: share another member's account; try to get around sign-in, limits or security; copy, scrape or resell the service or its replies at scale; use it to break the law or harm others; or share confidential information you are not allowed to share. This includes your employer's non-public deal or market-sensitive information, which the coach does not need.

8. Your content

What you write, and your profile and goals, stay yours. You let us store and process them only to provide the service, as our privacy notice describes. You can delete them at any time.

9. Our content

The Ascholia name, website, coaching approach and software belong to Ascholia LLC. You may use the coach's replies for your own career planning.

10. Changes to the service and these terms

We are improving Ascholia all the time, so features may change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days ahead. If you keep using Ascholia after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, cancel before they take effect.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable. If we close your account without fault on your part, we will refund the unused part of any period you've paid for.

12. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Ascholia is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example lost earnings or opportunities), and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Please email info@ascholia.com first so we can try to sort things out. If we can't, disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Florida, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
